Juno

Juno is a macOS menu bar app that quietly watches whatever text you're reading — in any app — checks it against deterministic threat feeds, and synthesizes a verdict with a local LLM running on your own machine. When something looks like a scam, a phishing attempt, fake news, or AI-generated content, it surfaces a calm, confidence-graded warning. On-device, private, and never in your way.

I started it because the web has quietly turned hostile. Scams are more convincing, misinformation is cheaper to produce, and generative models flood every feed with plausible-sounding nonsense. Juno is the defender I wanted for myself: something that reads alongside me, keeps everything on my Mac, and only speaks up when it's actually worth it.
