# Tugulab — Claudio Carnino Canonical: https://tugulab.org Claudio Carnino (clacla) is a developer and founder. He builds products end to end — idea, design and code — and the mix shifts over time between AI tooling, web3 and iOS: some years his own startups, some years contract work on other people's apps. This is the index of what he has built, is building now, and has shipped and wound down along the way. ## Founding and building Most of what he has founded lives in AI tooling — for agents, ecommerce visibility, personal security, and research and reading — plus a simplified-language project and a long run of iOS apps, games and small SaaS tools. Also wrote and published: - [Mastering the iOS Interview](https://www.udemy.com/course/mastering-the-ios-interview/) ## Web3 Developer tooling and infrastructure for people building on web3, from Starknet smart contracts to NFT minting and decentralized video. Zero friction. - Year: 2026 - Status: Active - Role: founder - Category: AI agent API - Primary link: [Visit agentictotem.com](https://agentictotem.com) AgenticTotem ships pay-per-use REST and MCP APIs built for autonomous AI agents. No signup, no API keys, no onboarding, an agent discovers the service, pays inline in USDC over x402 on Base or MPP on Tempo, and gets back structured JSON a few seconds later. The flagship endpoint is Web Extractor, which turns any URL into typed JSON fields an agent can actually reason about. Requests run in parallel with graceful partial-failure handling, so one bad URL in a batch doesn't bring down the rest of the run. --- # AllSearch Canonical: https://tugulab.org/project/allsearch See how AI chatbots talk about your brand. - Year: 2026 - Status: Active - Role: founder - Category: AI visibility tool - Primary link: [Get AllSearch Open](https://clacladev.github.io/allsearch-open) AllSearch tracks how often a brand is mentioned and cited by AI chatbots — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI, Gemini — and turns the gaps into content recommendations: which pages need rewriting, which topics have no coverage, which third-party domains keep winning the citations instead of you. It started as a hosted SaaS at allsearch.io. That version is shut down, and AllSearch is now an open source app you run on your own laptop with `npx allsearch-open`, against your own AI provider keys — no account, no server, nothing leaving your machine. ## Read more - [Source on GitHub](https://github.com/clacladev/allsearch-open) --- # Juno Canonical: https://tugulab.org/project/juno Your personal AI defender for your digital life. - Year: 2026 - Status: Active - Role: founder - Category: AI security tool Juno is a macOS menu bar app that quietly watches whatever text you're reading — in any app — checks it against deterministic threat feeds, and synthesizes a verdict with a local LLM running on your own machine. When something looks like a scam, a phishing attempt, fake news, or AI-generated content, it surfaces a calm, confidence-graded warning. On-device, private, and never in your way. I started it because the web has quietly turned hostile. Scams are more convincing, misinformation is cheaper to produce, and generative models flood every feed with plausible-sounding nonsense. Juno is the defender I wanted for myself: something that reads alongside me, keeps everything on my Mac, and only speaks up when it's actually worth it. ## Features - Watches whatever you read on macOS via the Accessibility APIs - On-device verdicts from a local LLM — nothing leaves your Mac - Flags scams, phishing, fake news, and AI-generated content - Calm, confidence-graded warnings from the menu bar --- # World English Canonical: https://tugulab.org/project/world-english A simpler, more regular English. - Year: 2026 - Status: Active - Role: founder - Category: language design - Primary link: [Visit worldenglish.tugulab.org](https://worldenglish.tugulab.org) World English is a careful revision of English that keeps what works and regularizes what doesn't. It strips out the irregular verbs, the memorized plurals, the three articles, and the spelling that fights its own pronunciation — the historical residue that makes English one of the harder languages to learn well — while staying readable to anyone who already knows it. The guiding principle is simple: how a word is written should tell you how it is said. I started it because English became the world's shared language by accident of history, not by design, and hundreds of millions of people pay for that accident every time they try to learn it. World English is an open design and research project asking a question worth answering: how simple could English be while remaining recognizably English? ## Features - 200 irregular verbs regularized down to zero - A single "be" for every person - One article — just "the" - Regular plurals, always by adding "-s" - Phonetic, dialect-neutral spelling — how a word is written tells you how it is said ## Read more - [Read the rules](https://worldenglish.tugulab.org/rules/) - [Read the research](https://worldenglish.tugulab.org/research/) --- # ProblemTotem Canonical: https://tugulab.org/project/problemtotem Find real, validated problems worth solving. - Year: 2025 - Status: Wound down - Role: founder - Category: AI research tool - Primary link: https://problemtotem.com (no longer online) ProblemTotem reads a lot of Reddit so you don't have to. It listens to where people are genuinely frustrated, clusters the complaints into themes, and surfaces the ones worth building against, each backed by the quotes that got it ranked. A short report, a few good problems, and the receipts. I started it because I was tired of picking ideas from thin air. The validated-problem problem is older than software, and LLMs finally make it cheap enough to treat real user pain as the raw material for product work. ## Features - Reddit-based pain-point discovery - LLM theme clustering with source quotes - Ranked reports you can read in under five minutes ## Read more - [Tugulab mention](https://tugulab.org) --- # ThinkTotem Canonical: https://tugulab.org/project/thinktotem Turn books into AI conversations built for your screen-trained brain. - Year: 2025 - Status: Wound down - Role: founder - Category: AI reading tool - Primary link: https://thinktotem.com (no longer online) ThinkTotem turned long reads into interactive Socratic conversations. You upload a PDF, a book, an article, and instead of a summary you get active-recall prompts, spaced repetition, and explain-it-back checks. The pitch was you could move through a 300-page book in an hour or two and actually remember it. It came from noticing that phones have rewired how I read. Traditional book reading feels like swimming against the current. ThinkTotem met the brain where it is now, and tried to still do the deep-learning work books were built for. --- # Cairo Utils Web Canonical: https://tugulab.org/project/cairo-utils-web A browser toolbox for developers writing Cairo on Starknet. - Year: 2022 - Status: Wound down - Role: founder - Category: web3 developer tool - Primary link: https://cairo-utils-web.vercel.app (no longer online) Cairo Utils Web was a small web UI collecting the kind of utilities you find yourself needing when you write Cairo, the language behind Starknet. Quick conversions, encoding helpers, little tools that turn "let me stop and write a script" into "let me paste this and move on." It was a side project of the NFT Map Quest era, when Starknet was new enough that the ergonomics around Cairo still had sharp edges worth sanding down. ## Read more - [Source on GitHub](https://github.com/clacladev/cairo-utils-web) --- # ClapClap Canonical: https://tugulab.org/project/clapclap Video infrastructure for web3, built on Starknet. - Year: 2022 - Status: Wound down - Role: contributor - Category: web3 video infrastructure ClapClap was a video infrastructure product for web3, funded by a StarkWare grant to build on Starknet with Cairo. The pitch was simple: creators upload a video, a contract mints it as an ERC-721, the media gets transcoded by Livepeer and stored on IPFS/Filecoin, and the whole thing streams back through a web app that feels like a normal player. I joined as senior web3 frontend engineer from March to July 2022. I wrote the ERC-721 contracts, the tests, and the Hardhat deploy scripts on the contract side. On the frontend I built the React/Next.js app on top of Ethers.js and StarkNet.js in TypeScript, wired up the Livepeer transcoding pipeline, and pushed metadata through IPFS and Filecoin so the videos were actually censorship-resistant instead of pretending to be. --- # NFT Map Quest Canonical: https://tugulab.org/project/nft-map-quest Mint a rare map of any place on Earth, as an NFT on Optimism. - Year: 2022 - Status: Wound down - Role: founder - Category: web3 app - Primary link: https://nft-map-quest.vercel.app (no longer online) NFT Map Quest was a small web3 app for minting a map of any location on Earth as an NFT on Optimism. Pan, zoom, frame the bit of the world you care about, mint it for a couple of dollars in gas. That was the whole loop. The point wasn't the NFT, it was the onboarding. A playful use case to get people their first L2 transaction without the usual paperwork. ## Read more - [Launch post](https://blog.tugulab.org/posts/2022-03-04_NFT-Map-Quest-Launches-Today-----3c999d5b38d6) --- # Fluidtable Canonical: https://tugulab.org/project/fluidtable A modern spreadsheet for people who clean and reshape data. - Year: 2019 - Status: Wound down - Role: founder - Category: data tool - Primary link: https://fluidtable.com (no longer online) Fluidtable was a browser-based spreadsheet aimed at the part of data work nobody likes: cleaning the CSV before you can do anything interesting with it. Import from a database, an API, or an Excel file. Fix missing values, normalize dates, repair ugly text columns. Drop into JavaScript when the no-code part ran out. The premise was that cleaning is 80% of analysis, but most tools treat it as an afterthought. Making the cleaning step a first-class, visual, shareable thing was the whole point. ## Read more - [Launch post](https://blog.tugulab.org/posts/2019-06-26_Data-Cleaning-with-No-Code--Detecting-and-Fixing-Missing-Values-cd78fa3d2570) - [Medium publication](https://medium.com/fluidtable) - [Product Hunt](https://www.producthunt.com/products/fluidtable) --- # Decryptoray Canonical: https://tugulab.org/project/decryptoray Bringing a bit of rigor to retail crypto investing. - Year: 2018 - Status: Wound down - Role: founder - Category: crypto tool Decryptoray helped newer crypto investors do fundamental analysis instead of following influencer calls. Pick a coin, compare volume, market cap, and supply against a reference basket, and get back a reading on whether the price is ambitious or grounded. It also sanity-checked target prices against market history. The pitch was that most retail crypto research was vibes-based, and the tool could carry the first 20 minutes of due diligence for you. ## Read more - [Medium publication](https://medium.com/decryptoray) - [Are your crypto investment goals realistic?](https://medium.com/decryptoray/are-your-crypto-investment-goals-realistic-d74e6bd1dbf7) --- # TechNews Canonical: https://tugulab.org/project/technews A small experiment in reading tech news differently. - Year: 2018 - Status: Experiments - Role: founder - Category: news reader TechNews was a small personal tool for reading the web's tech news without the feed-fatigue of the big aggregators. It lived alongside a few other consumption-shaped experiments from the same era. Not a startup, not a product. Just one of those weekends you spend building the thing you wish existed. ## Read more - [@technewshello on Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/technewshello/) --- # OloTV Canonical: https://tugulab.org/project/olotv The most-voted videos of the web, every day. - Year: 2016 - Status: Shipped - Role: founder - Category: iOS app - Primary link: https://apps.apple.com/it/app/ololololo/id1117472748 (no longer online) OloTV (shipped as Ololololo) was an iPhone app that surfaced the daily most-voted videos across the web, grouped into channels like comedy, science, and tech. You upvoted the ones you liked to shape tomorrow's chart, and could submit new videos into the queue. It was a small, thumb-friendly attempt at reinventing the "TV" habit for the YouTube era. --- # Cran.io Canonical: https://tugulab.org/project/cranio A small web utility from the Tugulab indie-shipping years. - Year: 2014 - Status: Shipped - Role: founder - Category: web utility Cran.io was one of a string of small, focused utilities shipped during the Tugulab indie-shipping years. Build the thing, ship it, move on. Not much documentation survives. The screenshot is the record. --- # Tiny Squares Canonical: https://tugulab.org/project/tiny-squares A small, snappy iOS puzzle game. - Year: 2014 - Status: Shipped - Role: co-founder - Category: iOS game Tiny Squares is a minimalist round-based puzzle game. Arrange tiles, beat the round, move on. No timers, no meta-game, no nags, just a clean loop. It was a portfolio-quality release more than a business, and it's aged about as well as minimalist puzzle games usually do. --- # Crocofan Canonical: https://tugulab.org/project/crocofan Turn blog and website visitors into Etsy customers. - Year: 2013 - Status: Wound down - Role: co-founder - Category: SaaS Crocofan was a small on-site widget for Etsy sellers. A visitor lands on your blog, clicks Like on your Facebook page, gets a discount code in return. One friction-free interaction that grew the fan count and drove the first purchase at the same time. Two lines of install code, a simple dashboard, a very specific job to do. It lived alongside Fanchimp in the tools-for-Etsy-shops era. --- # Shelfy Canonical: https://tugulab.org/project/shelfy A personal bookshelf and wishlist app for book lovers. - Year: 2013 - Status: Shipped - Role: co-founder - Category: iOS app - Primary link: http://shelfy.tugulab.org (no longer online) Shelfy was an iOS app for cataloguing the books you own and the ones you want next. Powerful search auto-filled the metadata, iCloud kept the library in sync across devices, and it worked offline when you were somewhere with no signal. The simple brief was: let readers keep a real record of their collection without typing anything they shouldn't have to type. ## Read more - [Demo video](https://youtu.be/BF7VmIOn5vo) --- # Fanchimp Canonical: https://tugulab.org/project/fanchimp Facebook marketing, packaged for Etsy sellers and tiny online shops. - Year: 2012 - Status: Wound down - Role: co-founder - Category: SaaS Fanchimp helped Etsy shop owners do the marketing they couldn't afford to outsource. Automated Facebook posting, coupon-driven fan acquisition, and small-shop-sized campaigns, all without hiring anyone. The company went through Wayra Chile and Start-Up Chile, picked up press over the next few years, and sat squarely in the "tools for makers" wave that Etsy helped create. ## Read more - [Product Hunt](https://www.producthunt.com/posts/fanchimp) - [Why Fanchimp is not just another social media tool](https://medium.com/@ccarnino/why-fanchimp-is-not-just-another-social-media-tool-our-vision-d1018bea4af1) --- # ChallengeIn Canonical: https://tugulab.org/project/challengein Party board games, re-cut for the iPhone. - Year: 2011 - Status: Wound down - Role: co-founder - Category: iOS game ChallengeIn took the pass-the-phone energy of Pictionary and Taboo and put it on iPhone. Quick rounds, small groups, the device moving around a table. The magic of a board game night, just without the board. It was the startup right before Fanchimp, and the one that got us selected for Start-Up Chile as the first Italian team in the program. --- # Cocktail Startup Canonical: https://tugulab.org/project/cocktail-startup A meetup and knowledge-sharing space for young Italian founders. - Year: 2011 - Status: Wound down - Role: co-founder - Category: community Cocktail Startup was an informal community we ran with Andrea Buffa to share the messy, real version of tech and startup experience with people earlier on the path. Meetups, talks, the kind of room where you can ask the stupid question. The early Italian startup scene didn't have much of this. Cocktail Startup was one of the places where it happened. --- # InstaQuote Canonical: https://tugulab.org/project/instaquote Make your quotes legendary. - Year: 2011 - Status: Shipped - Role: co-founder - Category: iOS app InstaQuote was a quick iOS tool for turning a line you wanted to remember into a shareable image. Pick a background, pick a style, share it anywhere. It came out of the early social-sharing boom, when the appetite for image-based microcontent was new and moving fast. --- # Video Recipes Best Of Canonical: https://tugulab.org/project/video-recipes The best cooking tutorials on the web, curated by category. - Year: 2011 - Status: Shipped - Role: founder - Category: iOS app Video Recipes Best Of was an iPhone app that pulled together the better cooking videos on YouTube into organised categories, pasta, desserts, breakfast, that sort of thing. Videos streamed from YouTube. The value was the curation. YouTube had the volume. The app had the taste. --- # Angels and Demons Canonical: https://tugulab.org/project/angels-and-demons An offline Rome tour through the Dan Brown locations. - Year: 2009 - Status: Shipped - Role: co-founder - Category: iOS app Angels and Demons was an iOS app that turned the Dan Brown novel and Ron Howard film into a walkable tour of Rome. Every plot location on a map, with a short note on why it matters, practical tips, and an offline map for when your data gave up. A very 2009 project, riding a very 2009 cultural wave. Small, specific, shippable. --- # HiNii Canonical: https://tugulab.org/project/hinii Like asking a trusted friend "what should we do tonight?" - Year: 2009 - Status: Wound down - Role: co-founder - Category: recommendation service HiNii was my first startup. Fill in three fields, *who you're with*, *what kind of evening you're after*, *where you are*, and get back an itinerary of places curated by an algorithm. The feeling we were chasing was the one of a friend who always knows the right spot. It ran for a couple of years, passed through TIM's #WCap accelerator and SMAU, and eventually got put to rest while the site was kept alive for the small group of loyal users.
